Led by Jordanian-Canadian singer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Qais Khoury, Pinwheel Valley channels the intricate layers of the human experience into a rich, genre-blurring sound. Blending Indie Soul, mellow Alt-Rock, and textured Folktronica, Khoury’s music is known for its emotive vocals, intricate instrumentation, and cinematic atmosphere — drawing influence from artists like Jeff Buckley, Ben Howard, Thom Yorke, and Fink.
Through Pinwheel Valley, Khoury explores both the raw struggles and quiet beauty of existence, crafting songs that search for balance between human instinct and the relentless pace of modern life. His sound moves fluidly between shimmering highs and pastel-hued lows, offering listeners moments of both reflection and release.
After graduating from Point Blank Music College in London, UK, in 2014, where he was shortlisted to perform at the Mayor of London Big Busk — Khoury toured across Vancouver, Toronto, and Seattle, steadily building a reputation for artistic depth and integrity. Early accolades include recognition from the International Songwriting Competition, the Toronto Independent Music Awards, and the USA Songwriting Competition.
In 2020, he joined the London indie sync roster North Note and was featured by BBC Radio London’s Robert Elms for his single Take Me Home. By 2025, Pinwheel Valley had become a Finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards and received multiple Best Music Video honors from the New York Movie Awards, Vegas Movie Awards, and Swedish International Film Awards for the visually arresting works Abduction and Willow. The project has also earned airplay on NPR Music and Ireland’s national broadcaster RTE 2FM.
Now entering their most transformative era, Pinwheel Valley continues to attract critical acclaim from Clash Magazine, Earmilk, Kaltblut, and Wonderland. Their single Your Superman has surpassed 680,000 views on YouTube and climbed to No. 13 on the USA iTunes Alternative Songs Chart, while Someway was featured on Spotify’s editorial playlist Fresh Finds Folk.
Currently writing and recording from a secluded Mediterranean island home, surrounded entirely by sea, Pinwheel Valley is preparing for a UK tour in 2026, pushing ever further into uncharted, soul-stirring territory.
